Eagles set to host seven home games at Alumni Stadium.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College football and the Atlantic Coast Conference announced the team's complete 2023 schedule on ACC Network Monday evening with the Eagles' season set to begin at home on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Northern Illinois. BC will play seven of 12 games at home, including each of its first three.
Â
Season tickets are available now at BCEagles.com or by calling 617-552-GoBC (4622). Kickoff times and television selections will be made at a later date.
Â
This season marks the first in the ACC without divisions as the conference adopts a new scheduling model. The new model is based on a 3-5-5 structure whereby each team will play three primary opponents annually and face the other 10 league opponents twice during a four-year cycle from 2023-26. Boston College's three primary opponents on an annual basis are Miami, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
Â
Following their season opener against NIU at Alumni Stadium, the Eagles welcome Holy Cross (Sept. 9) in week two. It marks the 84th match-up between the two schools. BC is home for a third straight game when Florida State (Sept. 16) visits for the ACC opener.
Â
Boston College hits the road in week four to Louisville (Sept. 23) before finishing the first month of the season back at home against Virginia (Sept. 30). The Eagles then step out of conference play to visit Army for its first game against the Black Knights since 2013 and first visit to West Point since 2012.
Â
Coming off a bye week, BC is back on the road at Georgia Tech (Oct. 21) and then returns home for its final non-conference match-up against Connecticut (Oct. 28).
Â
When the calendar turns to November, the Eagles kick off the final third of the season with a Friday match-up at Syracuse (Nov. 3). The game will be the 57th match-up between BC and the Orange and marks the 100th year of the rivalry as the two sides first met in 1924.
Â
Boston College then hosts Virginia Tech (Nov. 11) in week 11 followed by a Thursday game at Pittsburgh (Nov. 16). The regular season ends with a Friday contest against Miami (Nov. 24) the day after Thanksgiving. The Eagles match-up with the Hurricanes for the first time since 2018, a 27-14 BC win, and a day after the 39th anniversary of Boston College's Hail Mary victory over Miami at the Orange Bowl in 1984.
