Eagles secure second straight ahead of Saturday battle vs. UMass
WEYMOUTH, Mass. — The Eagles cruised to their second straight victory with a 7-0 shutout win over UConn on Friday afternoon.
Natalie Eordekian and Muskan Mahajan got it started with a win at No. 3 doubles, and the high-powered duo of Laura Lopez and Marice Aguiar returned to form with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Seren Agar and Hailey Wilcox stayed perfect as a doubles team this spring, winning their match 6-4 to sweep doubles and put BC up 1-0.
Marice Aguiar picked up right where she left off at the top singles position. Through four matches, Aguiar has not lost a single set at No. 1 singles.
Natalie Eordekian opened the singles scoring with a 6-0, 6-1 win, putting the Eagles up 2-0 and paving the way for six singles wins from Boston College.
Aguiar and Eordekian joined Seren Agar, Stephanie Sanchez, Muskan Mahajan, and Hailey Wilcox in a dominant singles showing, with all six Eagles winning their singles matches in straight sets en route to a 7-0 win.
The Eagles will face a quick turnaround for a home battle against UMass on Saturday at 5:00.
