January 13, 2023 | Skiing
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Former Boston College alpine skier Spencer Wright '22 will represent the United States at the 2023 FISU World University Games over the next week and a half in Lake Placid.
Wright is set to begin competition in the Super-G on Saturday at Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington, New York after Friday's race was postponed due to weather. Other events include the slalom, giant slalom, alpine combined and mixed team parallel.
Wright and Parker Biele '21 were previously scheduled to compete in the 2021 World University Games in Switzerland but the event was canceled due to COVID-19.
Staged every two years in a different city, the winter edition of the FISU World University Games is a celebration of international university sports and culture.Â
