Burke and Gauthier Receive Hockey East Weekly Honors

AMESBURY, Mass. – Cam Burke (Player of the Week) and Cutter Gauthier (Co-Rookie of the Week) earned weekly honors from Hockey East on Tuesday following their performances at Fenway Park over the weekend.
Burke registered his first two goals in a Boston College sweater including the game-winner in a 4-2 victory over No. 15 UMass in Frozen Fenway. The Boxborough native scored the Eagles' second and third goals of the night and finished with a plus-1 rating.
In his return from the World Junior Championship, Gauthier posted a goal and an assist along with a career-high nine shots on goal to lead all players. The goal opened the scoring just 2:25 into the first period for his team-leading 11th of the year in 14 games.
BC (8-6-4, 5-3-3 HEA) entered the national rankings this week at No. 19 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and No. 20 in the USCHO.com poll.Â
The Eagles face Sacred Heart on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the opening game of the Pioneers' new Martire Family Arena.Â
