Late Scores Add Up As Eagles Fall to Syracuse

Road action continues Sunday at noon against Albany
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The No. 16 Boston College Eagles (5-5, 2-1), fell to the No. 13 Syracuse Orange (9-2, 2-1) on Friday night, snapping their three-game win streak after a 3-0 road loss. The Eagles return to .500 on the year with the first blemish on their conference record, as all five losses have come against top-20 opponents.Â
The Eagles and Orange battled to a scoreless first half, with BC earning an early chance on a Sarah Johnson attempt off a penalty corner, but it was saved by Syracuse goalie Brooke Borzymowski. Eagles goalie Emily Gillespie maintained a clean sheet through three full quarters before the Orange began converting on offense, scoring three in the final frame.Â
The Eagles will resume action this Sunday at noon, looking to get back on track at the University of Albany.Â
