Eagles Head to Syracuse for First ACC Matchup

BC stands at 11-2 as conference play begins
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS– Boston College prepares for their first ACC matchup of the season as they head to Syracuse to take on the Orange. The match is scheduled for 8 p.m on Wednesday evening and will be streamed on ACC Network.
The Eagles So Far…Â
BC now sits at 11-2 on the season, coming off the Red Storm Invitational in Queens this past weekend where they went 1-2, falling to both Middle Tennessee and St. John's and defeating Columbia. They are currently tied for second place in the ACC with Duke and Pitt with Louisville in first place at 9-1. The Eagles so far this season lead the conference in total kills as a team, as well as first in average kills per set, and are third in overall team hitting percentage. BC leads the conference in total team assists well as assists per set. Their defense has been very good as well as they lead the conference in total blocks as a team, are third in blocks per set and are also third in total digs as a team. Sophomore middle blocker Jenna Pollock was St John's Invitational All-Tournament Team as she recorded 25 kills, seven total blocks and five digs including an impressive 17 kill performance against St. John's. Â

The Matchup…Â
This will be the 32nd time the two teams have met in their programs history which is the most of any school for BC. The Eagles have faced both Harvard and Northeastern 31 times. Syracuse currently sits at 4-6 on the season heading into tomorrow night's match.Â
