Boston College Announces 2022-23 Schedule

The Eagles will host the 44th Women’s Beanpot Tournament in February.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team announced its schedule for upcoming season on Friday. The 34-game regular season slate includes a 27-game Hockey East schedule and 19 total contests for the Eagles at Kelley Rink. Additionally, the Eagles will host the 44th Women's Beanpot Tournament in February, with defending champion Harvard set as the team's first-round matchup.
Boston College will open its 29th season of varsity play at home on Saturday, Sept. 24 against Franklin Pierce. After a trip to Quinnipiac for a single game on Sept. 30, the Eagles kick off Hockey East play with a home-and-home series against Merrimack (Oct. 6-7). The Eagles then remain on the Heights for a two-game series against Penn State (Oct. 14-15).
The Battle of Commonwealth Avenue will be renewed on Oct. 21 at Kelley Rink and then again the following day at Walter Brown Arena. Two games at Vermont (Oct. 28-29) close out October.
The Eagles will then play three straight Hockey East home-and-home series against UConn (Nov. 4-5), Northeastern (Nov. 11-12) and New Hampshire (Nov. 18-19). Harvard comes to the Heights on Tuesday, Nov. 22 for a rematch of last year's Beanpot title game and then BC closes out the semester with two games against Holy Cross (Dec. 2-3).
BC kicks of 2023 by hosting Maine for two games (Jan. 5-6) followed by single games against Northeastern (Jan. 13), Holy Cross (Jan. 14), UConn (Jan. 17), New Hampshire (Jan. 20), Maine (Jan. 21), Merrimack (Jan. 28) and Providence (Feb. 3).
The 44th Women's Beanpot Tournament begins on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Northeastern and Boston University will play in the first semifinal before the Eagles and Crimson clash in the second. The championship and consolation games will be played at Kelley Rink on Feb. 14.
Between Beanpot Tuesdays, BC will play a single game at Boston University. Regular season action then wraps up with a home-and-home series against Providence (Feb. 17-18).
The first round of the Hockey East Tournament is slated for Feb. 22 followed by the quarterfinal round on Feb. 25, the semifinal on March 1 and the championship game on March 4, with all games being hosted by the highest seed.
