Preseason Notes: Practice No. 14

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College football held preseason practice No. 14 on Saturday morning. The Eagles started the day inside Fish Field House before moving to the outdoor grass fields. BC worked on punt and red zone 9v9 to get started before moving into situational football. The Eagles move into Alumni Stadium tomorrow for the second and final intrasquad scrimmage of the preseason.

On the Track: Head coach Jeff Hafley's daily request for Bruce Springsteen sprinkled into the warm-up playlist was "No Surrender" during the Eagles flex period.

Situational Football: Down two, less than 10 seconds with one timeout and needing to get into field goal range was the first situation executed by both offense… in a two-minute, end-of-game scenario (:29) the offense was down by seven with no timeouts and quarterback Phil Jurkovec delivered a touchdown to true freshman tight end Jeremiah Franklin.

Overtime Rules: The first and second team offense were each held to a field goal in an overtime scenario… in the second OT, Jurkovec found wide out Jaden Williams for a touchdown and converted a two-point conversion to Taji Johnson... the second team defense forced a turnover on downs.
