
BC's Semifinal Matchup With Maryland Pushed to 3 p.m.

UPDATE: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE SEMIFINAL MATCHUP BETWEEN BC AND MARYLAND HAS BEEN MOVED TO 3 P.M.Â
BALTIMORE, Md. - The Boston College women's lacrosse team faces No. 2 Maryland for a spot in the National Championship on Friday at 3Â p.m. It's the third time in the past five tournaments have squared off in the final four or the championship.Â
The winner advances to the national title game on Sunday at 12 p.m. against the winner of No. 1 North Carolina and No. 5 Northwestern, who play at 12:30 p.m.Â

Last Time Out
Boston College defeated sixth seeded Loyola Maryland in a high-scoring 20-13 affair in the quarterfinals last Thursday at the Newton Campus. Belle Smith turned in a career-high seven goals to lead the offense, while Jenn Medjid tallied eight points with five goals and three assists. With the game tied 4-4, Smith started a 6-1 surge that gave BC separation. BC advanced to its fourth straight semifinals appearance.Â
A Win Would
- Send the Eagles to their fifth straight championship.Â

The two-way middie earned the IWLCA's Offensive Player of the Week after her impressive performance against the Greyhounds. The sophomore also posted a perfect shot on goal percentage, two caused turnovers and a ground ball.Â

North is one of only three players to post 80 goals and 100 draw controls this season, while she is first among active players in goals (348), third in points (423) and ninth in draw controls (366).Â
Scouting Maryland
- The Terps are 19-1 on the season, with its lone loss coming in March to then-No. 15 James Madison.
-Â Maryland has one of the top goalies in the country in Emily Sterling, where she is first in the nation in save percentage at .549 and second in goals against average at 7.36.
-Â UM is second in the country in scoring defense allowing 7.35 goals per game and eighth in scoring at a clip of 16.1.
-Â Aurora Cordingley has a team-high 66 goals and 50 assists for 116 points. Libby May is second with 61 goals, while her 73 points is second.Â
