COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boston College senior Abigail Levy has been invited to the 2022 USA Hockey National Goaltending Camp, which will run May 19-22 in Plymouth, Mich.
Levy is one of 11 female goaltenders invited to the four-day camp that will consist of on-ice training, skill development, video analysis and team building activities for the 29 total invitees.
Levy led the country with 1,143 saves during the 2021-22 season while also finishing tied for 11th nationally with her .932 save percentage. Levy's .932 save percentage ranked first in the nation among goaltenders who made at least 30 saves per game. The Congers, N.Y. native, who also earned a career-high two assists on the year, went 18-14-1 to finish fifth overall in the country in wins.
She made at least 30 saves in 24 of her 33 games played, had at least 35 saves in 16 contests and made at least 40 saves in nine contests. Levy has also posted two 50-plus save games, making a career-high 55 saves against No. 8 Colgate and stopping 50 shots against No. 6 Harvard. Levy posted one shutout on the year, coming in a 32-save performance against rival Boston University.
Levy, who was a semifinalist for the 2022 National Women's Goalie of the Year Award, was named the Bertagna Award winner as the Beanpot Tournament's top goaltender after stopping 99 shots over the two tournament games. She earned two Hockey East Goaltender of the Week awards and was the January runner-up for Hockey East Goaltender of the Month.
This is the third time Levy has attended a USA Hockey goaltending camp, as she was invited to the U.S. Women's National Team High Performance Goaltending Camp last year as well as the USA Hockey National Goaltending Camp in 2019.
