Three Eagles Named to All-ACC Teams

Anderson, Mataya named to 3rd team, Slike to All-Freshman team
BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its all-conference teams on Wednesday morning. Boston College is represented by three student athletes: Susannah Anderson, Ellie Mataya, and Hannah Slike. Anderson and Mataya were named to the All-ACC third team, while Slike was named to the All-Freshman team.
Anderson appeared in 30 games making 22 starts. She finished the season with a 9-13 record, throwing 141.0 innings (6th in ACC) with a 2.83 ERA and 96 strikeouts. Susannah twirled 13 complete games with three shutouts, holding opponents to a .243 batting average. She was named ACC co-Pitcher of the Week on April 12th.
Mataya finished the season ranked ninth in the ACC in hits (54) and tied for third in triples (4). She started all 47 games in center field, and led the Eagles in batting average (.353), on-base percentage (.416), slugging percentage (.497), runs scored (23), hits (54), walks (16), stolen bases (11), triples (4), and total bases (76). Ellie reached base safely in 41 of 47 games, including 11 of the last 12. She recorded 16 multi-hit games in 2022, and finished the season with a .971 fielding percentage.
Slike ranked eighth in ACC in doubles (13), tenth in at bats (154), and seventh in fielding percentage (.992). She started all 47 games for BC, and led the team in at bats (154), doubles (13), RBI (23), extra base hits (19), and total bases (76). Hannah was tied for second on the team with 4 home runs. She recorded 15 multi-hit games, and threw out 5 runners for a 20% caught stealing percentage.
