BC will face BU and Eastern Michigan on the Charles on Saturday before looking to retain the Irving-Christensen Cup on Sunday.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College rowing team is gearing up for two days of competition this weekend, taking on Boston University and Eastern Michigan on the Charles River on Saturday before looking to defend the Irving-Christensen Cup against UConn and Holy Cross in Worcester on Sunday.

THE IRVING-CHRISTENSEN CUP
-The Eagles won the 2021 Irving-Christensen Cup last April … it was the third consecutive meeting between Holy Cross, BC and UConn that saw BC sweep all the races as well as the 1V8 retain the Irving-Christensen Cup.
-The Irving-Christensen Cup honors two Holy Cross rowing alums … Holy Cross and Boston College have been competing for the cup since 2011.
-The winner of the 1V8 race between the three schools is the school that wins the cup.

-Boston University swept MIT last weekend on the Charles River with wins in the V8, 2V8 and V4 … it was the first race of the season for the Terriers.
-Eastern Michigan competed twice last weekend, racing against Michigan State on Saturday and then Duquesne on Sunday.

-UConn, who is set to race in the NYRA Invitational on Saturday, last competed on March 18 at Central Florida.
