Eagles' 4x1,500m relay Closes Out Penn Relays Weekend

On Friday, BC's DMR and 4x400m relay teams perform well at Franklin Field
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The Eagles finished up competition at the Penn Relays on Saturday with a ninth place finish in the Championship of America 4x1,500m relay. Katherine Mitchell, Anna Oeser, Kylee Raftis, and Maureen Lewin combined to run 17:51.10.
In Friday's action, BC's 4x400m relay squad of Emma Kinney, Kyla Krawczyk, Anna Cleary, and Marne Sullivan narrowly missed advancing to Saturday's final, placing 10th in the qualifying heats in a time of 3:50.29. The top nine advance to the finals.
The Eagles' DMR of Mitchell, Krawczyk, Sullivan, and Lauren White placed 11th in the Championship of America in a time of 11:15.81.
On Thursday night, In the College Women's 5,000m Championship, Kayla Smith was 14th overall in a personal-best time of 16:35.91. Sarah Flynn - in her first collegiate 5K - clocked 16:56.56. Krawczyk won her heat and placed 17th overall in the College Women's 400m Hurdles Championship, crossing the finish line in a personal-best time of 1:01.49.
