Audrey Della Vedova and graduate transfer Kate Brennan join Eagles for 2022.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College volleyball is excited to announce the signing of two additional student-athletes who will be joining the Eagles this fall. Joining BC are opposite hitter Audrey Della Vedova from San Clemente, Calif. and middle blocker Kate Brennan, a graduate transfer out of UNLV.
Audrey Della Vedova, 6'2" Opposite, San Clemente, Calif.
Coach Kennedy on Audrey: "Audrey is someone we are excited to get to campus and get a chance to work with. She has such an enigmatic and cheerful personality and her enthusiasm and effort on the court are unmatched. She comes from a very successful club program and has played against most of the top recruits in the country for the last several years. She's also the first lefty we'll have in the gym since I've arrived in Boston and adding that wrinkle to our offense will help us keep things pretty quick on that right pin. She's a physical presence that I anticipate will be able to come in and help us at the opposite position."
Kate Brennan, 6'2" Middle Blocker, Endicott, N.Y.
Coach Kennedy on Kate: "Kate is a natural leader. She is engaging and immediately clicked with our team on her visit. We all had our fingers crossed hoping she would choose Boston as her destination for grad school. As a middle in the very strong Mountain West Conference, she was an integral part to UNLV's success the past few seasons. She is a true double threat. On the offensive side of the ball she has an outstanding career hitting percentage of .341 with over 1,500 attempts. Defensively she is coming off a career best 137 blocks last season. Kate gives us a strong experienced presence in the middle and I think she'll have a significant impact in a short amount of time on the Heights."
