Timely hitting, lights out pitching and defense lead Eagles to ACC win
BRIGHTON, Mass. – After throwing eleven innings on Friday night, senior pitcher Susannah Anderson came back Sunday to shut down Georgia Tech with a complete game, one-hit effort, as Boston College won 4-0. BC improves to 16-19 (3-12), while the Yellow Jackets drop to 27-12 (8-10).
Anderson was lights out for the Eagles in the circle, allowing only five base runners, the lone hit coming in the fourth inning. She struck out six Yellow Jackets in her seven innings of work.
Offensively, three of BC's runs came in the third inning when Kennedy Labshere dropped a bases clearing triple down the right field line. Sophomore Kamryn Warman capped off the scoring with her first career home run, an opposite field solo shot in the sixth inning.
