CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Construction on the new Hoag Basketball Pavilion begins today - Monday, March 7.
Fencing began on Monday morning to mark the start of the first phase of construction on the north side of Conte Forum. The main entrance of Conte Forum, off Gabelli Plaza, will be replaced with a grand illuminated glass entrance and a new vestibule for greater energy efficiency. The project will transform Power Gym into a dedicated practice venue with a significant infusion of natural light and views to and from the campus.Â
Transparency will connect across the gym into a new strength and conditioning space that will connect directly to the level below where there will be a sport medicine suite with hydrotherapy pools, including an underwater treadmill, a nutrition center filled with daylight, and space for team gathering, study and meals. State-of-the-art new team locker rooms player lounges will be constructed, rebranded and adorned with the history and spirit of the programs.
