
BC Set to Meet UNC, George Washington at Bucknell

The Eagles will compete against the three squads on the Susquehanna River.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College rowing team will travel to Pennsylvania this weekend to take on a trio of schools on Saturday morning on the Susquehanna River. In addition to host-school Bucknell, the Eagles will race against George Washington and ACC-foe, North Carolina.

RACE SCHEDULE
-The format for the day will be a double dual.Â
-The first set of races will start at 8 a.m. and will feature Bucknell against George Washington and North Carolina against Boston College.
-At 11 a.m., Bucknell will race against Boston College, while George Washington and North Carolina will go head-to-head.Â
ABOUT NORTH CAROLINA
-The Tar Heels opened up the spring season last weekend against Tennessee and UCF at the UVA Invitational.
-Last season, UNC placed ninth at the ACC Championship … the varsity four won the Petite Final while the 2V4 earned a spot in the Grand Final.
ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON
-Last weekend, George Washington competed at the Doc Hosea Invitational in New Jersey, racing a V8, 2V8, V4 and 2V4 in preliminaries before seeing the finals canceled due to high winds.
-GW placed second at the Atlantic-10 Championship last spring … head coach Marci Robles was named the College Rowing Coaches Association Region 1 Coach of the Year.
ABOUT BUCKNELL
-This marks the second weekend of spring competition for the Bison.
-Bucknell opened up with the Doc Hosea Invitational last weekend.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE EAGLES
-Boston College opened up the spring championship season this past Saturday by racing against the Boston University Lightweights on the Charles River.
-The 3V squads kicked things off in the first race, followed by the first varsity eight boat … in the closest race of the morning, the BU 2V boat eked out a one-second win over the Eagles … the BC varsity four and second varsity four then closed things out.

FALL REWIND
-The Eagles competed four times during the fall, twice away from Boston and twice on the Charles River.
-BC took part in the Head of the Housatonic in Connecticut as well as an exhibition against Dartmouth.
-The Eagles raced twice on the Charles River, competing in the Head of the Charles as well as the Foot of the Charles.
UP NEXT
-The Eagles will return to the Charles River on Saturday, April 9 against Boston University and Eastern Michigan.
