Eagles energized upon return from spring break
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football team held its first practice after returning from spring break on Tuesday morning inside Fish Field House. It marked the Eagles' fourth practice of 14 leading up to the Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Game on April 9.

First Track Heard During Team Flex:Â "25k jacket" (Gunna feat. Lil Baby)
Spreading the Wealth:Â Boston College's depth at wide receiver was on full display during Tuesday's team drills. The established connection between Phil Jurkovec and Zay Flowers showed no rust on a long over-the-shoulder completion down the right sideline and a deep in-cut between the hash marks. Jaden Williams also reeled in a pair of contested balls on third down. Red-shirt freshman Lewis Bond showed off his speed with routes along the right sideline on balls from Jurkovec and Emmett Morehead. Dante Reynolds, a teammate of Bond's at Kenwood Academy in Chicago, was also the target on several completions. Maryland transfer Dino Tomlin and junior Taji Johnson both made plays on the left sideline for big gains on confident throws from Morehead.
Â
Ball Hawks: A productive morning from the receivers was balanced by a pair of impressive plays from the second and third levels of the defense. Freshman Amari Jackson dove low and got his hands underneath the ball to intercept a pass on the left side of the formation. Redshirt freshman Owen McGowan also pulled down an interception, drifting to his right before leaping up for the pick. The defensive front was solid against the run, with the exception of a chunk play from Xavier Coleman who made several back-and-forth cuts down the middle of the field.
