Fencing Competes at ACC Championships

Men Finish Second; Wang Earns Podium Appearance
DURHAM, N.C. - The Boston College fencing teams put forth a solid performance at the ACC Championships hosted by Duke.
The men finished second in the tournament going 2-1 with wins over No. 1 seed Duke and No. 9 North Carolina.
The men saw four different fencers in the top four individually, with Brian Wang earning a podium spot thanks to a second-place finish in Men's Foil.
Wang defeated David Tierney (Duke) in Men's Foil before narrowly falling to Andrew Machovec in the finals. Bolang Meng earned a fourth-place finish in Men's Saber, while Daniel Gaidar placed fourth in Men's Epee.
Highlighting the women was Laura Boden, who advanced to the semifinals for the first time in her career in Women's Epee.
