Maine Tops BC in Hockey East Tournament Quarterfinal

The Black Bears held off the Eagles for a 2-1 win.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team fell to the University of Maine, 2-1, in a Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal on Friday night at Kelley Rink. The Eagles end their season at 19-14-1 overall.
Willow Corson put BC up midway through the first period with her fourth goal of the season, but the Black Bears scored with two seconds to go in the frame to send the game into the intermission at 1-1. Maine then found the eventual game-winner with a power-play tally with five minutes to go in the second period.
