Eagles, Catamounts Battle to 3-3 Tie

Hannah Bilka scored twice for the Eagles.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team tied the Vermont Catamounts three different times to battle to a 3-3 tie on Friday night at Kelley Rink.
A scoreless first period gave way to three goals in the middle frame, with Vermont sandwiching goals around a Hannah Bilka tally to enter the second intermission with a 2-1 lead. Caroline Goffredo tied the game just 48 seconds in to the third period, and then Bilka responded to another Vermont goal later in the frame for the final 3-3 score.
Neither team found the back of the net in overtime, but Vermont came away with an extra Hockey East point by way of a shootout victory.
