Eagles Compete in Brandeis Invitational

BC Fencing travels back to Waltham for meet against Brown, Yale, St. Johns and Wellesley
Waltham, Mass – Boston College Fencing took part in the Brandeis Invitational this past weekend hosted on the campus of Brandeis in Waltham. The men's team beat #11 Yale and Brown and lost to #9 St. John's and the Women's team lost to Brown, Yale, St. Johns and Wellesley.Â
Head Coach Brendan Doris-Pierce on his teams performance on Saturday:Â
"Both teams fenced well today. The women's team showed incredible fight battling through injuries while keeping their competitiveness high, I'm looking forward to seeing us at full strength second semester. The men are rounding into form, as heartbreaking as the loss to St. John's was the win over Yale was tremendous. Now we rest and study up and get ready for the second half of the year."Â
BC will be back in action on January 21st as they host the second Northeast Fencing Conference, followed up by the Eric Sollee Invitational on January 28th, they will then finish out their season in Evanston, Ill for the Northwestern Invitational on February 4th.Â
Boston College will also host the ACC Championships on the weekend of February 25th.Â
