Cayla Barnes Named Hockey East Defender of the Week

Cayla Barnes has been named the Army ROTC Defender of the Week.
AMESBURY, Mass. – Hockey East announced on Monday that Boston College women's hockey defender Cayla Barnes has been named the league's Army ROTC Defender of the Week.
Barnes helped the Eagles to a 5-1 win over Harvard on Tuesday night at Kelley Rink. The Eastvale, Calif. native scored the game's first goal early in the second period of the non-conference tilt and went on to finish the game with five shots on goal, one blocked shot and a plus-2 rating.
The senior now has five points on three goals and two assists on the year while tying for sixth in Hockey East with 27 blocked shots.
This marks the second career Defender of the Week honor for Barnes.
