
Todd Leads Eagles to Win Over Holy Cross

The Freshman Scores a Career-High 20 Points
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Thanks to a career-high 20 points from freshman T'Yana Todd, Boston College women's basketball downed Holy Cross on Wednesday afternoon, 52-42.
The Eagles have won three straight to improve to a 4-2 record, while the Crusaders are 3-2.
Todd hit six of her 12 shots and went a perfect 6-of-6 from the line, while the Canadian freshman took over in the fourth quarter with 10 of her 14 second-half points coming in the second half.
Taina Mair scored 10 points to round out the leading scorers and added five assists. Maria Gakdeng and JoJo Lacey each grabbed nine rebounds in the process - a career best for Lacey.
BC trailed by as much as nine points late in the third quarter, 36-27, before putting together a 25-6 run over the last 13 minutes of the game.
The Eagles held Holy Cross scoreless over the last 8:15 of the game to pull out what was a low-scoring affair. BC struggled from the floor but shot 14-of-17 from the line, including a perfect 9-for-9 showing in the final period.
BC will play two games at the Puerto Rico Thanksgiving Clasico against Morgan State on Friday and Stephen F. Austin on Saturday. Both games are at 5 p.m. on Flohoops.
