UConn Up Next for BC in Hockey East Game of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The #15 Boston College women's hockey team will face the RV UConn Huskies this weekend in a Hockey East home-and-home series.

The Eagles and Huskies will face off at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Freitas Ice Forum before a 6 p.m. meeting on Saturday at Kelley Rink.

Saturday's clash is the Hockey East Game of the Week and will air live on NESN+.

• Boston College enters Friday at 6-3-1 overall and 5-1-0 in Hockey East play after splitting a series at then #14 Vermont this past weekend, falling 3-2 and winning 4-3.
• Hannah Bilka pushed her point streak to eight games over the weekend with goals in both games as well as an assist … Kelly Browne, Cayla Barnes, Kate Ham and Gaby Roy also scored for BC ... Browne scored her first goal of the season with the overtime winner on Saturday ... Abigail Levy made 41 and 40 stops in back-to-back starts.
• Bilka leads the Eagles and Hockey East in points (17) ... the captain is also tops on the team in goals (8) and shots on goal (49) while tying with Abby Newhook for the team lead in assists (9).

• Fifteen Eagles have found the scoresheet over the first 10 games, including 12 with multiple points.
• Levy is 4-2-1 with a .943 save percentage, 1.98 goals against average and two shutouts while Grace Campbell is 2-1-0 with a .908 save percentage and 2.68 goals against average.
• Bilka was named the Hockey East Player of the Month for September/October and was a runner-up for National Player of the Month.

ABOUT UCONN
• UConn brings an overall record of 6-4-2 and a Hockey East mark of 2-4-2 into Friday night's contest … the Huskies split a series with Maine in Storrs this past weekend, falling 1-0 before bouncing back for a 2-0 win.
• Coryn Tormala leads UConn in points (9), goals (4) and assists (5) while Jada Habisch (3-4-7) and Claire Peterson (3-4-7) have chipped in seven points each.
• Tia Chan was named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltender of the Week for stopping 80 of 81 shots she faced against Maine … the goaltender sits at 4-4-2 on the year with a .938 save percentage, 1.87 goals against average and three shutouts.

• The Eagles lead the all-time series between the teams, 44-22-10 ... BC has a mark of 25-11-2 against the Huskies at Kelley Rink ... BC is 17-10-8 against UConn in Storrs and 2-1-0 in neutral site meetings.
• UConn took the 2021-22 regular season series at 2-1-0 ... the Huskies took both ends of a home-and-home in mid January before the Eagles picked up a 3-1 road win to close out January.
• BC won all five regular season meetings in 2020-21 ... the Eagles earned 5-3 (Dec. 3) and 4-0 (Jan. 31) road wins while defending home ice with a 2-1 overtime (Jan. 23), 3-2 (Jan. 30) and 3-1 (Dec. 5) ... the Huskies topped the Eagles, 5-1, in the Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal round on Feb. 28 at Kelley Rink.
