Eagles Compete at Beantown Challenge

Several Eagles posted personal bests at Harvard on Jan. 8
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Boston College Men's Track & Field team competed at the Beantown Challenge hosted by Harvard University on Saturday, Jan. 8 where several Eagles posted personal bests in their events.Â
The freshman on the team had a particularly successful day starting with Max McQuide, who leapt his way to a tenth place finish at 6.89m. Denis Gallagher also achieved a personal best with a time of 1:06.5 in the 500m, and Eero Helenius earned seventh place in the mile run with a time of 4:24.11. Rounding out the freshmen, Steven Jackson ran the 3,000m with a time of 8:32.53 for eighth place.
Topping off the day, Marcus Manson earned a personal record in the 200m at 22.87 seconds, good for seventh place.
The Eagles return to the track on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center for The Battle in Beantown.
