Garner and Sigurdarson Earn All-ACC Academic Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Christian Garner and junior Stefan Sigurdarson have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Thursday.
Garner made nine appearances and eight starts for the Eagles in goal during the 2021 fall season. He closed the season with a 1.55 goals against average and posted a shutout at home against Hartford. The Orleans, Massachusetts native will graduate in the spring with a degree in political science.
Sigurdarson appears on the All-ACC Academic Team for the second time in his career. He was tied for the team lead with six goals this past season and ranked second with 12 points. A finance major, Sigurdarson played over 1,000 minutes in 14 appearances and led the squad with 38 shots on the year.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
