Eagles Compete at St. Michael's Carnival at Smugglers' Notch

JEFFERSONVILLE, Vt. – The Boston College skiing team competed in the St. Michael's Carnival at Smugglers' Notch over the weekend.
Senior Spencer Wright notched the highest finish of the event for the Eagles, using a strong second run to earn 22nd place in the giant slalom on Friday. Sophomores Zach Simmons and Matthew Smallhouse also scored in the men's GS with 32nd and 34th respectively.
Freshman Chiara Maria Ferrari was the top BC finisher in the women's giant slalom in 29th, followed by sophomore Morgan Ellis in 34th. Ellis led the way in Saturday's slalom competition as she earned 28th and classmate Lauren Geary was 36th.
Sophomore Ben Charleston led the men in slalom with 28th place, followed by Wright in 33rd overall.
Boston College has this weekend off before competing in the UVM Carnival at Stowe Mountain Resort on Feb. 4-5.
