BC competes at Battle in Beantown hosted by BU
BOSTON – The Boston College women's track and field team returned to Boston for the Battle in Beantown on Saturday, Jan. 22.
In the field events, Isabella Bruno earned third place in the triple jump with a mark of 11.84m, and Sophie Albright earned fourth place in the high jump with a mark of 1.65m.
The team dominated the 400m. Kyla Krawczyk claimed first in the event in a time of 56.82. Jolene Murphy (57.80) and Anna Cleary (58.67) were close behind in fourth and fifth place respectively.
In the 800m, Katherine Mitchell won the event with a time of 2:08.95.
In the mile race, Anna Oeser finished third (4:42.08) and Lauren White finished fourth (4:42.25). Marne Sullivan also (1:34.47) earned third place in the 600m.
The Eagles finished off the day with the 4x400m BC-A team crossing the finish line in third place at 3:51.30. The team consisted of Kyla Krawczyk, Anna Cleary, Emma Kinney, and Marne Sullivan.
The team returns to action next week at the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Jan. 28.
