Grace Hollowell welcomes 12 commits to the incoming freshman class
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College head rowing coach Grace Hollowell has announced the addition of 12 student-athletes to the Class of 2026.
"We are excited to welcome the Class of 2026 to the Heights! This group is filled with athleticism, experience, and a strong work ethic," says Hollowell. "Their passion for the sport is evident, they are a group that not only loves to train but also loves making boats go fast. I expect them to have a big impact on the water and the culture of the team. They are a committed, hardworking, and kind group!"

"I chose Boston College because I know I will have the best experience both in my academic and athletic career. The Carroll School of Management is one of the best business schools in the country, and I am super excited to be a part of a D1 Rowing Team. I can't wait to cox on the Charles. I love coxing because it has taught me to be a better leader, to stay calm under pressure, and to motivate the team to perform at our best. Go Eagles!"

"I chose to row because after spending the past five years creating an unbreakable bond and work ethic with my teammates, I was eager to find once again at the collegiate level. I chose BC because I knew the rigorous academics and athletics they provide would push me to succeed in both aspects. The welcoming team environment made it feel like home and has me excited to join this amazing team. Go Eagles!"

"After the first time I visited campus, I had immediately fallen in love with it. The uplifting and welcoming community at BC made me feel at home. As well as a beautiful campus and environment, the academic and athletic opportunities are unparalleled. I am honored to join the BC rowing family and continue my love for being on the water. My favorite thing about rowing is how supportive, motivated, and fast a crew is when they are connected. When I visited the team, I saw this exact team chemistry and unbreakable connection. BC just has it all!"

"I knew BC was the place for me as soon as I stepped foot on campus. After being welcomed by the kindest people and walking up the (slightly tiresome) million-dollar staircase there was a unique and magical feeling I had about BC. Rowing has truly become such an important part of my life as I've been taught life skills beyond the athleticism of it, and some of my best memories in the past years were right on the water. I'm extremely fortunate to continue my journey in rowing here, paralleled with the amazing academic opportunities. And I can't wait to make more memories on the Charles! #GOEAGS"

Team culture has always been a huge part of why I love rowing and BC had the perfect competitive but kind culture I was looking for where we can compete and push each other but are still happy for each other's successes. I can't wait for the next 4 years!! Go Eagles"Â Â
