BC Battles Back to Force OT, Falls to No. 10 UConn

The Eagles trailed 2-0 but forced overtime before falling 4-3.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team trailed 2-0 with 10 minutes to play in the third period but battled back to force overtime before falling to the No. 10 UConn Huskies, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
After a scoreless first period, UConn took a 2-0 lead in the first five minutes of the middle frame. Keri Clougherty's first career goal midway through the third period pulled BC within one. Abby Newhook then tied the game up with 1:35 to play before Hannah Bilka gave BC a lead 30 seconds later. The Huskies, though, scored an extra attacker goal in the final minute and then net the game-winner late in overtime.
