BC Heads to Notre Dame for Sunday Matinee

Eagles, Fighting Irish will meet in South Bend for the second consecutive season.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will travel to Notre Dame this weekend to face the Fighting Irish on Sunday at Alumni Soccer Stadium. The match, which is set for a 1 p.m. start, will air live on ACCNX, which streams live on the ESPN App.

A WIN OVER NOTRE DAME WOULD . . .
• Move Boston College to 7-3-1 overall on the year and to 1-2-0 in ACC play.
• Bump the Eagles to 2-13-0 in the all-time series with Notre Dame with a mark of 1-8-0 on the road.
• Give BC its first ACC win of the season.
• Move Jason Lowe to 1-1-0 against Notre Dame.

ABOUT NOTRE DAME
• The Fighting Irish enter Sunday's match with an overall record of 8-1-1 ... Notre Dame is coming off of a 5-0 win at Miami on Thursday night.
• The Irish opened the season with a five-game unbeaten streak (4-0-1) before falling at Missouri, 3-2, in overtime ... the squad has gone 4-0-0 since.
• Sammi Fisher leads the team with 17 points on eight goals and one assist ... four of Fisher's goals have been game-winners.
• Olivia Wingate with 11 points on four goals and three assists along with Korbin Albert with 10 points on four goals and two assists, give Notre Dame three double-digit scorers.

• Boston College and Notre Dame have met 14 times, with the Fighting Irish holding a lead of 13-1-0 in the all-time series.
• The teams met last season in South Bend, with the Irish spoiling the Eagles' season-opener with a 2-0 win ... it was the first meeting between the two teams since 2015.
• This marks the first time the Irish and Eagles have met in back-to-back seasons since they faced off every year from 2000 to 2004.
• The Eagles and Fighting Irish first met on Oct. 27, 1995 at Notre Dame ... the hosts came away with a 3-1 win.
• BC's lone win in the series came on Nov. 7, 2003, with the Eagles earning a 2-1 win in the BIG EAST tournament.
