Eagles Announce Addition of 10 Newcomers to 2021-22 Roster

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's hockey program has announced 10 additions to the 2021-22 roster, including four graduate transfers and six freshmen. The incoming players for the Eagles' 100th season are comprised of six forwards, three defensemen and one goaltender.
Eric Dop | Gr. • G • 5-10 • 160 • Lewis Center, Ohio • Bowling Green (WCHA)
• Spent four seasons at Bowling Green in the WCHA, going 45-26-7 with eight shutouts in 77 career starts
• Closed his career with the Falcons owning a 2.22 goals against average and a .914 save percentage
• As a senior in 2020-21, went 13-8-1 in net with a 2.16 GAA and a .923 SV%
• Ranked 14th among all Division I goalies in GAA and 17th in SV%
• Member of the 2018 WCHA All-Rookie Team and a three-time WCHA All-Academic selection

• Named to the All-WCHA First Team as a senior assistant captain in 2020-21 after recording a team-high 34 points in 31 games
• Led the nation with a +29 rating while ranking fifth nationally in assists and sixth in points
• Became the 73rd player in program history to reach 100 career points, doing so during his junior season
• Closed his Falcon career with 38 goals and 104 assists for 142 points in 151 games
• Selected to the All-WCHA Second Team in 2019 and the All-WCHA Rookie Team in 2018
• Drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft

• Closed his Nittany Lions career with 28 goals and 24 assists for 52 points in 112 games
• Three-time selection to the Academic All-Big Ten Team

• Father attended Boston College and played on the men's tennis team

• Father John Joyce was a 100-point scorer in four seasons at Boston College and was team captain in 1993-94
