Johnson Scores Overtime Gamewinner at New Hampshire

Eagles move to 7-1 on the season
DURHAM, N.H. — Sarah Johnson's gamewinner in the 67th minute propelled No. 3 Boston College to a 4-3 win over New Hampshire this afternoon. Johnson had a goal and two assists for BC on the day.
The Eagles got the scoring going early, as Margo Carlin scored in the seventh minute, redirecting a Johnson pass to make it 1-0. The Wildcats tacked on two in the second quarter and led 2-1 at halftime.
In the third, Lois Lekawael scored her first of the season, redirecting a centering pass from Johnson in front of the cage to tie it at 2-2 in the 34th minute. UNH would counter less than two minutes later and held a 3-2 lead into the 59th minute, before Fusine Govaert's goal with :21 seconds remaining in regulation forced the extra frame.
Jonna Kennedy stopped two shots in goal for BC on the day. The Eagles held a 29-10 advantage in shots and a 12-5 edge in shots on-goal.
The win moves the Eagles to 7-1 overall, tying for the best start in program history through eight games. BC returns to action on Friday, when it travels to North Carolina.
