BC Faces Penn State in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Two of the nation's premier women's basketball conferences will once again square off for hardwood bragging rights, as the matchups for the 14th Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge were announced Tuesday.

The Boston College women's basketball team faces Penn State in this season's Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Dec. 2 at Conte Forum.

Game times, as well as television and streaming video coverage, for the 2021 Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge will be announced at a later date. All ACC home games in the Challenge will be shown on either the ACC Network, ACC Network Extra or one of the ESPN networks, while Big Ten home games will appear on either Big Ten Network, Big Ten Network+ or one of the ESPN networks.

The ACC owns a 9-1-3 all-time advantage in the Challenge, headlined by three outright titles in the last four years the event has been held. Additionally, the ACC owns a 94-70 overall win-loss record against the Big Ten in the Challenge.

BC is 3-7 all-time in the Challenge, including a 1-1 record all-time against Penn State in the event. All-time, BC is 1-2 against Penn State.

The last time BC played in the Challenge was a 66-63 setback at Northwestern in 2019.

One of the most memorable victories for any ACC team in the Challenge was BC's 113-104 double overtime victory over Penn State in 2010 at Conte Forum.
