
Full Fall Slate on Deck for BC Volleyball

Eagles' 2021 schedule features 12 home matches.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College volleyball released its 2021 schedule on Thursday morning, beginning with the BC Classic played in Power Gym August 27-28. The Eagles' slate features a total of 12 home matches, including nine against ACC competition.

A total of six matches will be played in the season-opening tournament with three regional opponents from New England participating. Boston College kicks off its season against Sacred Heart (Aug. 27) followed by match-ups against Hartford and Northeastern (Aug. 28).

The Eagles will travel to the Bryant Invitational (Sept. 3-4), St. John's Classic (Sept. 10-11) and Michigan Tournament (Sept. 17-18). BC also plays non-conference road matches at Northeastern (Sept. 7) and Rhode Island (Sept. 12).

ACC play begins with a home contest against Syracuse (Sept. 22). The Eagles' first home, ACC weekend feature Virginia Tech (Oct. 1) and Wake Forest (Oct. 3). BC is home back-to-back weekends against North Carolina (Oct. 15) and NC State (Oct. 17) followed by Clemson (Oct. 22) and Georgia Tech (Oct. 24). The final two home ACC matches are against Duke (Nov. 13) and Virginia (Nov. 26).

ACC Network and ACCNX designations will be announced during the month of August.

Boston College and fourth-year head coach Jason Kennedy set a program-record with 20 wins the last time the Eagles took the floor for a full season. In the abbreviated and divided 2020-21 season, BC went 6-12, winning its last five matches of the season; overcoming a 0-9 start against top-20 opponents.

The Eagles return every starter from last season, including two-time All-ACC pick Amaka Chukwujekwu (Laurel, Md.).
