TOWSON, Md. – In front of a sellout crowd at Towson University, the No. 4 Boston College lacrosse team upset undefeated No. 1 North Carolina, 11-10, at Johnny Unitas Stadium in the NCAA Semifinal.

The Eagles become the third team to make four consecutive NCAA Championship games, joining Maryland and Northwestern.
Â
Rachel Hall had arguably her best game of the year, making 11 saves on 10 shots, while Jenn Medjid scored four on the offensive end to lead BC.
Â
The Eagles found themselves in a hole early, down 3-1 just six minutes in, but used a 4-0 run during the middle part of the first half to take a 6-4 lead. BC scored six of the last seven goals of the first half to head to the break up 8-5.
Â
Charlotte North had two goals and an assist, giving her 96 goals and 108 points so far this year. Her two goals helped her break Sam Apuzzo's record for goals in a single season and is now four shy of the NCAA record of 100. North now has 25 goals this NCAA Tournament, which is an NCAA record.
Â
The Tar Heels didn't go away in the second half, fighting back from down 11-6 with 15 minutes to play to make it 11-9 with 5 minutes to play. After back and forth action, UNC scored with one second left to pull within one, but without enough time to have a chance to tie.
