
BC Wins Six Individual Events in Quad Meet at UMass

Eagles post several top 10 all-time performances on the afternoon
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The Boston College women's track & field team competed in a quad meet against UMass, Boston University, and Quinnipiac. The meet was held at the UMass Track & Field Complex.
In the triple jump, Isabella Bruno took first place with a leap of 11.87m (38'7.75"). That leap was the second-best outdoor triple jump mark in program history.
The Eagles swept the distance events, earning first place finishes in the 800m, 1,500m, 3,000m steeplechase, and 5,000m runs. BC went 1-2 in the 800, as Katherine Mitchell was victorious in a time of 2:11.08. She was followed closely by Marne Sullivan in second place (2:11.26).
Anna Oeser won the 1,500m (4:22.99), as the top six finishers were all from Boston College. Oeser's performance places her seventh on BC's all-time outdoor 1,500m list. Lauren White (4:23.01) was second, followed by Maureen Lewin (4:31.02) in third, Sorcha McAllister (4:32.96) in fourth, Weronika Lewna (4:33.00) in fifth, and Miriam Ruoff (4:37.59) in sixth.
The Eagles took the top four spots in the 3k steeple, led by Kylee Raftis' first-place finish in a time of 10:29.12. Sarah Flynn (10:32.57) was second, followed by Katherine DeLoreto (10:51.58), and Haleigh Morales (11:09.18). Raftis' performance ranks as the seventh-best in BC history in the 3k steeple, while Flynn's ranks 10th-best. Caroline McClelland won the 5,000m (17:22.23).
Sarah Heckel led a 1-2-3 charge in the 400m hurdles, crossing the finish line in a time of 1:04.66 - also cracking BC's top 10 all-time performances, ranking 10th.
BC's 4x400m relay team of Krawczyk, Heckel, Sullivan, Cleary took the race in a time of 3:54.92.
