BC Finishes Strong at Georgia Tech Invitational

4x400m relay squad takes first place; several personal and season best times in the 800m
ATLANTA — The Boston College men's track & field team closed out competition at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday.
Five runners achieved new personal bests in the 800m, while two others registered season best times.
Denis Gallagher led the BC charges, placing eighth in a time of 1:52.32. Friend Weiler (11th, 1:52.83), Adriano Barilla (12th, 1:53.67), and Steven Jackson (15th, 1:53.92) each recorded personal best times. Ben Davies was 16th, in a season-best 1:54.01. John Carter (25th, 1:55.06) and Erik Linden (30th, 1:55.35) also notched personal bests. Colin Trigani was 34th (1:55.97) while Edward Tristine's 1:56.47 time was also a PR. John Seiberlich clocked 2:02.98.
The Eagles 4x400m relay team of Marcus Manson/Stephen Windisch/Jackson Sigalove/Khalfani Green finished first in a time of 3:17.94.
Individually, Manson finished second in the 400m hurdles, clocking a time of 54.26. Green was fifth (56.28) and Sigalove was seventh (58.01). Windisch was seventh in the 400m (50.34).
Avery McKenzie was fifth in the triple jump, registering a leap of 15.12m (49'7.25"). Michael Oduro was ninth (14.18m/46'6.25"). Â
On Friday night, Erik Linden clocked a season-best 3:53.26 to lead five Eagles in the 1,500m. Steven Jackson was 15th in a time of 3:53.38, while John Carter was 20th in 3:55.02. Edward Tristine registered a personal-best time of 3:56.17, finishing 25th. John Seiberlich was 37th (4:02.54).
