Eagles Ready for Two-Day Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College rowing team will return to action this weekend with a pair of race days on the Charles River. The Eagles are set to host UConn and Holy Cross on Sunday, April 18.

Updated April 27, 2021: The Eagles were originally set to race Rhode Island on Saturday as well but the race was cancelled due to inclement weather.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
-Rhode Island swept the competition (George Washington, UConn, Saint Joseph's, UMass, Manhattan) at Overpeck Park, winning the Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ flights.
-UConn also competed at the Overpeck Regatta, earning four third-place finishes in the morning session.
-Holy Cross has not raced yet this season.

ABOUT LAST WEEKEND
-Last weekend, the Eagles returned to the Charles River for the first time since October 2019 to face the Boston University lightweight crew on Saturday morning.
-The Eagles and Terriers faced off in three different races … BC's first varsity eight picked up a win with a time of 7:08.20.

UP NEXT
-The Eagles will head to the Lake Wheeler Invitational in Wheeler, N.C. next weekend Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24 … BC will be one of 12 teams competing at the invitational, which is hosted by North Carolina.
