No. 12 Wake Forest Defeats Boston College to Close Weekend

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Boston College hosted 12th-ranked Wake Forest on Sunday morning at the Weymouth Club, falling to the Demon Deacons by a score of 7-0 in ACC play.
BC's record is now 0-6 (0-6 ACC), while Wake Forest improved to 13-4 (4-1 ACC).
Wake Forest moved quickly towards clinching the doubles point, but BC's Max Motlagh and Sean Mullins gave Adam Ambrozy and Siddhant Banthia a tough match in the No. 1 doubles slot, ultimately falling in a tiebreaker 7-6.
Freshman Shreekar Eedara was the only Eagles player to take his singles match to a third game tiebreaker, before falling to Banthia. Mullins and Motlagh played competitive first sets in the top two singles slots for Boston College.
The Eagles hit the road next weekend for ACC matches at North Carolina on Friday (March 12) and Duke on Sunday (March 14).
