BC volleyball picked up a 3-1 win over Miami on Friday evening.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College volleyball team defeated Miami, 3-1, at Power Gym on Friday evening to earn its first ACC win of the season. The Eagles, who trailed most of the first set, won by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 11-25 and 25-22.
Freshman outside hitter Katrina Jensen (Temecula, Calif.) had a season-high 13 kills on a .308 attack rate. Senior outside hitter Clare Naughton (Atlanta, Ga.) chipped in with seven kills, but was steady on the ack line with a team-leading 18 digs.
In the middle, sophomore Gabby McCaa (Minneapolis, Minn.) posted 10 kills, while hitting .529. She added a team-best seven blocks.
Freshman setters Grace Penn (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Sophia Lambros (Fullerton, Calif.) split duties guiding the offense to the tune of 18 and 17 assists, respectively. Lambros added 12 digs in the double-double effort.
The Eagles are in action again on Sunday at 1 p.m. against Virginia Tech.
