Volleyball Downed by Wolfpack in Three

BC fell to NC State in its second of three matches in three days in The Triangle.
RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Boston College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to North Carolina State at Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday afternoon. The host Wolfpack won by scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-19.
Senior middle blocker Amaka Chukwujekwu (Laurel, Md.) led BC with five kills and hit .333 on just nine attempts. Freshman setter Sopia Lambros (Fullerton, Calif.) posted 10 assists and classmate Grace Penn (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) had nine. Lambros added 11 digs in a double-double effort to go with a career-high three service aces.
For NC State, Jade Parchment was one of three plays in double figures with a match-high 13 kills. Melissa Evans and Taylor Rowland chipped in with 11 apiece.
The Eagles return to action at Duke on Monday before a pair of home matches over the weekend.
