Taylor Soule Named First-Team All-ACC

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A pair of Boston College women's basketball standouts were among the All-ACC selections on Tuesday as voted on by the league's Blue Ribbon Panel and the ACC's 15 head coaches.

Junior Taylor Soule became just the third Eagle in school history to be named First-Team All-ACC by the league's head coaches. She was also named to the All-ACC Second-Team by the Blue Ribbon Panel.

Junior Marnelle Garraud was named to the ACC's All-Defensive Team, becoming the second Eagle in school history to receive the honor. The all-defensive team first debuted in the conference in 1999-00.

Soule joined Emma Guy (2019-20) and Carolyn Swords (2008-09, 2009-10) as the only Boston College women's basketball standouts to garner All-ACC First-Team accolades. One year after being named the ACC's Most Improved Player, Soule ranks fifth in the conference in scoring (16.6 points per game), second in the ACC in offensive rebounds (3.8 per game) and fifth in the league in free throws made (69).

Garraud leads the ACC with 2.12 steals per game. She is among the all-time leaders in school history in career steals (147/12^th) and needs just two steals to join the top 10 in BC history. Her 243 career assists rank 24^th in school history.

Boston College opens the 2021 ACC Tournament on Wednesday at 2 p.m. against Pitt. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. with regional coverage on ACC RSNs, including NESN+ in Boston. Detailed broadcast coverage including streaming information is available here.
