Northeastern Up Next on Spring Slate for Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will make the short trip to Northeastern on Thursday night for a 6 p.m. game against the Huskies at Parsons Field.

This will mark the 17th all-time meeting between the two Massachusetts squads and the first of two scheduled meetings between the Eagles and Huskies scheduled for this spring.

The game is set to be streamed by Howlin' Huskies Productions.

• The Huskies enter Thursday's contest with a record of 3-2-1 after topping Delaware, 2-0, on Sunday, March 14.
• Northeastern played its first game of the season on Feb. 14, falling 1-0 on the road at UNH ... the Huskies have picked up wins over UMass Lowell (2-0) and Rhode Island (1-0) in addition to the win over Delaware ... the team's other loss came on the road at UConn (2-0).
• Through the team's six games played, Alexis Legowski has a team-leading five points on two goals and one assist ... Chelsea Domond has added two goals for the Huskies while Mikenna McManus has two assists ... Angeline Friel has started every game in goal for Northeastern.

• The Eagles and Huskies first clashed on Sept. 29, 1998 ... BC took the neutral site meeting, 6-0.
• In last year's meeting in Newton, the Eagles used a 49th minute goal from Gianna Mitchell for the win to move to 11-0-0 all-time at home against the Huskies.
• The teams have played six consecutive one-goal games in the series ... BC has five 1-0 wins in the series as well.
• BC and Northeastern have met twice in the NCAA tournament, with the Eagles advancing with wins in 2008 (4-0) and 2013 (2-0).
• Thursday's game marks just the sixth true road game for BC in the series.

• Boston College finally returned to action on Sunday, March 14 with a neutral site match-up against Hofstra in Bethany, Conn.
• After a scoreless first half, the Pride took a 1-0 lead only to see Sam Smith respond off a corner to equalize.
• The teams headed to overtime and after a scoreless first stanza, the Pride found the back of the net for a 2-1 win.

• The Eagles played an eight-game ACC schedule in the fall of 2020, going 1-7-0 with a mark of 1-3-0 on the road and 0-4-0 in Newton.
• The schedule saw the Eagles open up with three consecutive roads games and it featured three ranked teams.
• In the final road game of the fall, BC earned a 3-1 road win at Syracuse on Oct. 22.
• Jenna Bike led the Eagles with six points on three goals while Emily Knous and Sam Smith had four points each ... Knous scored two goals while Smith had one goal and two assists.
• Michela Agresti and Samantha Agresti played all 725 minutes of the fall season for BC.
• In goal, Allie Augur started all eight games going 1-7-0 with a 0.673 save percentage, 2.31 goals against average and 37 saves.

• The Eagles are led by the trio of Jenna Bike, Jillian Jennings and Mia Karras in 2020-21.
• All three players are first-year captains.
• Bike, who missed the 2019 season due to injury, was named to the United Soccer Coaches Association DI All-Region team as a junior ... she enters her final season on the Heights having appeared in 57 contests with 56 starts while notching 10 goals and 10 assists.
• Karras played in all 18 contests for the Eagles in 2019, a career-high, while making 16 starts and logging the third-most minutes among field players with 1,434 ... she recorded one goal and two assists and will enter her senior season with two goals and two assists.
• Jennings enters her senior season having appeared in all 58 games that BC has played over the last three years ... she has logged over 3,500 minutes for the Eagles while also recording eight assists and one goal ... in 2019, she started all 18 contests and recorded three assists ... her older sister Kayla Jennings was a two-year captain for BC.

• The Eagles are a diverse group, having four different countries and nine different states represented on the team roster of 23.
• The most represented state for BC is Massachusetts, which is called home by six players.

• Jason Lowe was named the program's fifth head coach on Jan. 9, 2019.
• Lowe arrived on the Heights after serving on the coaching staff at Wake Forest since 2014, including 2017 and 2018 as associate head coach.
• The Shaker Heights, Ohio native helped the Demon Deacons reach the NCAA tournament Round of 32 in 2017 and the Sweet 16 in 2018.
• Prior to Wake Forest, Lowe served as an assistant coach at Alabama for five seasons and two years at Emory.
• Lowe served as a goalkeeper for the Wake Forest men's soccer team from 1994-97.
• In addition to receiving his bachelor's degree from Wake Forest in 1998, Lowe also earned his MBA in 2002.
