Eagles Swept at No. 20 Georgia Tech

BC falls in straight sets; Saturday vs. UNC canceled.
ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Boston College volleyball team lost to No. 20 Georgia Tech, 3-0, at O'Keefe Gym on Friday evening. It marked the ninth match of the season for the Eagles against a ranked opponent and their first competition since Feb. 13.
The Yellow Jackets (9-3) won byb scores of 25-14, 25-13 and 25-13.
Mariana Brambilla led all players with a .417 attack rate and was matched in kills by teammate Julia Bergmann (.323) with 14 kills. Isabella D'Amico guided the Tech offense with 36 assists.
Senior Clare Naughton (Atlanta, Ga.) led BC with seven kills. Freshman setter Grace Penn (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) dished out 12 assists and added five digs.
Boston College's Saturday match with North Carolina in Atlanta has been canceled due to COVID-19 contact tracing within the Tar Heels' program.
