Eagles Back Home for Non-Conference Games

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College field hockey team is back at home this weekend, for a pair of games against New Hampshire and Vermont on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13. BC will play New Hampshire at 2 p.m. Friday, while Vermont comes to town Saturday at 3 p.m. Both games will be shown on ACCNX.

Boston College enters the weekend 1-1, with a 5-3 win over Maine and a 3-0 loss to Wake Forest. Against Maine, BC was led by Jaime Natale, who had two goals and an assist. Margo Carlin, Nell Webber and Fusine Govaert added goals for BC as well.

New Hampshire currently sits 2-0 with wins over UMass, 3-1, and Merrimack, 6-0. Offensively, they're led by Finn Caron and Ava Mariani, who have four goals and three goals, respectively. In goal, both Nikki Tredwell and Jemma Woods have a start, but Tredwell has seen 90 minutes of action to Woods' 30. Tredwell has five saves this year and a .670 save percentage.

Finn Caron is the twin sister of BC defender Sky Caron.

Vermont enters the weekend 0-1 with a loss to UMass, 3-1. Kate Hall has the lone goal for the Catamounts, scoring it less than five minutes into the game against UMass. Sierra Espeland started the game, giving up three goals and making five saves.
