Eagles Drop ACC Match Against No. 15 Virginia

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Boston College women's tennis team fell to 15th-ranked Virginia by a score of 7-0 on Friday afternoon at the Weymouth Club.
The Eagles' record drops to 2-3 (1-3 ACC) and the Cavaliers improve to 5-2 (1-1 ACC).
UVA kicked off the match by winning an extremely tight doubles point. Five out of six singles matches were taken in straight sets, with notable victories from Emma Navarro and Natasha Subhash in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots against Yufei Long and Kylie Wilcox, respectively.
Junior Laura Lopez took her fifth singles match to three sets, but ultimately fell to Vivian Glozman in a third set tiebreaker as the final match to finish. Lopez and Marice Aguiar were tied 6-6 in second doubles but went unfinished.
Boston College looks to get back on track on Sunday morning (Feb. 28) at 10 a.m. as its hosts Virginia Tech in ACC play.
