Eagles Drop ACC Road Match at Louisville 6-1

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Boston College dropped its third consecutive ACC match to Louisville on Friday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center by a final score of 6-1.

BC's record drops to 0-3 (0-3 ACC) while the Cardinals pick up their first ACC win of the season, moving to 5-4 (1-3 ACC).

The Cardinals kicked off the match by grabbing the doubles point, with a strong showing from Matthew Fung and Fabien Salle in the No. 1Â spot. Four Louisville players won their respective single matches in straight sets.

Two Boston College players took their singles matches to a third set. Sean Mullins lost the third set superbreaker 10-5 to No. 71 Tim Chen, but Shreekar Eedara beat Josh Howard-Tripp 13-11 in a superbreaker for his first collegiate victory.

The Eagles seek their first win of the season this Sunday (Feb. 28) as they travel to South Bend to take on Notre Dame at 12 p.m.
