Boston College Falls to Virginia Tech at Home

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Boston College dropped the second game of its season to the Virginia Tech Hokies, losing by a score of 7-0 at the Weymouth Club on Sunday morning.

The loss brings the Eagles' record to 0-2 (0-2 ACC), while Virginia Tech improves to 4-2 (1-0 ACC).

Virginia Tech's Mitch Harper, who is ranked 38th nationally in singles, won his match in the No. 1 slot while teaming up with Jordan Chrysostom to take down BC's tandem of Shreekar Eedara and Mason Fung in second doubles.

Sean Mullins played a competitive second singles match against Matthis Ross but fell in three sets by a score of 3-6, 6-0, 6-3. Will Coad also made his season debut for the Eagles in No. 6 singles.

Boston College hits the road in ACC play next weekend with matches at Louisville (Feb. 26) and Notre Dame (Feb. 28).
